On Saturday we celebrated the official opening of the 2016/17 season. President, Maria Downes welcomed all invited guests, Life Members and Distinguished Service Members as well as our sponsors. The Committee was introduced prior to the announcement of our new Centre Captains – Evana Miesen and Riley Dart. It was great to see one of our new sponsors, Pet Stock Bacchus Marsh supporting the kids. This week Jimmy presented aquariums to our new record breakers, Jarvis and Keely. Once formalities of the day were completed our program got underway.

Congratulations to new BMLAC member Nelson Banigo (Eagles) who set a new record in the Boys Under 8 70 metres. Nelson ran a blistering time of 11.11 secs to break a record that had previously stood for 26 years. Well done Nelson.

Athletes are reminded that submission of Relay Forms are due to team managers this Saturday.

Training on Wednesday night will be focusing on starts and high jump, especially the scissor technique for junior athletes. All registered members are welcome to attend between 5-6pm.
