Cross Country Awards

14 Aug 2016 by Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics

The 2016 Cross Country season came to an end on Saturday when the Centre final home run was held at Masons Lane. The theme of the day was ‘Footy’ as all athletes dressed in their favourite footy gear. All races were conducted on a handicap system, where athletes started off, using handicap staggered times that were calculated from season results. This gave a chance for athletes to run down the front runners. Congratulations to Zane Rich who was the only backmarker to record line honours.

Line honours for the day were awarded as follows:
Under 6 (500m) – Aisha Lidgett-Egan
Under 7/8 (1000m) – Oskar Kucera
Under 9/10 (1500m) – Xavier Goodman
Under 11/12 (2000m) – Zane Rich
Open Age (3000m) – Rebecca West

At the conclusion of all races athletes and families gathered for the season Cross Country presentations.
Trophies were awarded to all participants.
